Default boost or juice?

I have been debating the question, s/c or n2o. So i am looking at the 2 options and here is what i came up with. If i go with boost, I will have it all the time however since it is a daily driver it may put too much unwanted stress on the engine, plus it would be alot of money. Or i could spend the money on a god nitrous set up, some steeper gears, and some drag radials and probably get the same results at the track but it probably would be better for daily driving not to mention much more affordable. I know a will have to get a tune with either of these, but i think the juice is better for me and my situation than the s/c..any opinions? anyone else have the same delema?

Sounds like you know the answer to this question already. Come to the bottle and breath deeply.

I have had both on different cars.

1998 GT - 5 Speed, 3.90s, Full PI Swap, Full Exhaust, Full Boltons, and Zex 100 shot.

2001 GT - Auto, CB exhaust, Plenum, Tbody, T-trim, Boost Pipe.

Of the two I have had the nitrous when it was on felt stronger but I also had more mods, gears, and 10.5:1 compression. The torque on nitrous was awesome and it kicked in alot earlier in the RPM band.

The blower is there all the time, it is more up front but you dont have to fill it up every week or so, you can get a used vortech for around 2K so its about twice the upfront $$ but over time it will even out considering 40-50 to fill up the bottle. The other thing is I was always worried about the intake going boom on the bottle or something else going wrong. There is less chance of that with a blower imo.

For what you are looking for you may be better off with a vortech, paxton, or procharger. Under normal driving you arent in boost anyway so there is no extra stress on the drivetrain and motor. I honestly dont notice much boost until around 4K and up.

If I had it to do again I would have went with Kenne Bell no doubt. I wish I had the boost come on earlier when I punch the gas. Live and learn I guess, eventually when I pop the stock motor I will see where MPH is at with their single turbo kit and get the motor built and the single turbo kit installed.

personally i would go with the spray. seems like its easier and cheaper to install. and if you ever want to sell your car its easy to take off. and you can use it as little or as frequently as you want. JMO

How soon are you going to be able to build the bottom end. With either of them its only a matter of time before you will be. I'd start with a built short block before a power adder.

spray

cheaper, lighter, easier than turbo/supercharger and it's more easily adjustable
