Yea you guys called it especially Spike. I'm sure he'll be in here eventually. Anyways I'm spraying 75 right now through my mainline kit do you guys think it'll be ok to spray a 100 shot? I'll test it on a dyno first with a/f readings to make sure I'm not going dangerously lean or anything. Opinions?

oh my car and mods

BBK CAI
GT take-off exhaust
4.10 gears
T-lok

I wouldnt do it. I felt uneasy about running a 100 shot to my 4.6....even though it took it like a champ! Id stick with a 75 shot until you can swap a V8 in there....

LOL... Swap a V8...LOL that's funny.

Anyways if you're not atleast spraying 100 into a 4.6 V8 well that's just too safe. 100 shot seems almost too safe for the 8's 125 shot seems more common.

Hey spike how often did your buddy spray the car? Was it a weekend thing, a once in a blue moon when I go to the track type of deal?

more like a bottle or two every month. Hes just got a used NX kit with a tune and focus pump. Its an auto so no need for a window switch if your wondering.

100shot is fine for that if your tuned. But dont go higher then 100hp thats the most i would safely run a on stock 3.8

I'm pretty sure the 3.8 will handle the 100 shot. What I'm most concerned with is the split port intakes. 12 runners so there is obviously more of a chance for one cylinder to get a dispropotionate amount of nitrous or fuel. I think i'll stick to the 75 until I have some back up funds incase something does decide to go. Things are kinda tight right now

Or maybe I'll just use the 100 shot occasional like only at the track. n occasional 100 shot like 1 or 2 a month shouldn't be too bad in the engine...

You're right. Hey you sprayed a 100 shot with mainline solenoids right? How did they hold up to that? I know they eventually fried on you because of the progressive controller but I'm not running that did the solenoids hold up to the demands of the 100 shot ok?

it dosnt matter about demand its about the flow they can allow. Those noids i was told dont flow past 100 worth a ****. Do the 100hp jets, get your tune updatedm, and you will be a happy camper.

So I should be ok with the mainline solenoids as long as I stick to a 100 shot?

I swear were playing post tag tonight lol.

Yeah like i said the noids wont fail or anything. Its just they are not made to flow lots of nitrous ie. they are very unefficent past 100hp jetting (pretty sure its 100hp jetting). Will they break or anything with 100 or hell even 150jets in them? no not at all They just wont flow enough volume past 100hp jetting to get the true power out of them. Thats why NX,Compucar,NOS, etc.. all make larger noids that are more money because they can flow alot more nitrous to make those big power gains.

SO in short do the 100hp jetting update your tune (you got a focus pump right?) and you will have lots of fun. My freinds 00 3.8 with 4.10's crappy true duals and a 100shot went 13.8@102 i think it was. So with a better car (his for a lack of a better word was "tired" to say the least) will go alot faster. I wouldnt be suprized if a car like his in good shape with a good tranny would of gone 13.6 or soo at 103-105 mph.

Yes the mainline solenoids are good for a 100 shot. I ran the 100 shot on those for a long time. NX says they are good for just 75hp, but they will do 100.... Yes my problem was that I had the progressive controller on it, and n20 slipped past the seals on it.

Exclamation No...

With the items which you have modified on your engine it would be unsafe to do so. I have 2001 v6 and mine is on 100 shoot but i have the equipment of supporting it. I recommend that you stay at 75 shoot.

2001 v6 from stock to War Horse

Flowmaster true dual Exhaust 40 series

Steeda Cold Air, drive shaft, headers, gears, injectors, distributor, alternators, high torque starter

Zex spark plugs, Zex NOS, dual purge system, Blow down kit, Bottle heater

Ok not to be mean or anything but I already have gone up to a 100 shot. This thread is kinda old. I couldn't be happier I did. Now the mean part.

#1 We don't have distributors
#2 You have a alternator not alternators
#3 a high torque starter? Seriously?
#4 This is just a personal pet peeve but you don't have ZEX NOS, NOS is a company just like Zex. You have a Zex nitrous kit.
#5 what engine mods do you have if all you have is what is listed then I don't know what you're talking about as supporting mods. Because I have just about everything you have besides the pointless stuff.

so your car with less nitrous and less hp and weights more is almost trapping as fast as mine?
and what do you have that makes your car better for a 100shot then his? you dont even have a fuel pump upgrade. and injectors dont help his wet nitrous system.

Yea I'm kinda curious how you trap 88MPH on a 8.8 1/8 mile. I went 80MPH on a 8.9 full weight. ANd trust me my car is far from light LOL.

Thats totally BS. If your trapping 88mph (2mph more than me in a v6) and cut a 2.0 60ft, you would run way faster than an 8.8. Im sure you havent even ever been down the track. Those are makebelieve times. From stock to Warhorse?
