Has anybody on here with a 1997 Gt ordered a Mongoose Kit? If so chime in because I have a few questions...thanks guys

 

Does anybody know if Modular Power house's Mongoose Kit supports a 1997 GT?? I was told by Rhonda that they dont have a tune to support my year, but can I still buy the Mongoose Kit with everything else except the tune?? Does anybody have a 1996-1998 who ordered a mongoose kit through them? I wanted to buy the complete kit...i know i can go directly through vortech, but they dont have a complete kit like the mongoose kit.

 

yes u can order the mongoose kit with the tuner...you will just need to get a dyno tune for your car specifically to make it run correctly...i think the mongoose tunes are meant for PI engines

(i know i dont have a 97 but still) even with the mongoose kit yes my car runs great i put 500 miles on it with only what came out of the box installed by me and a friend without a single problem but.... the tune that came with it is extremely conservative and tomorrow im getting retuned. my air/fuel was very rich on the dyno until around 4-5k rpm then it dropped down to where it should be, at least its safe to drive though. so anyways you'll still want a dyno tune to get the most power even if the kit comes with an xcalibrator2 itll just save you from buying a chip or programmer from whoever tunes your car.
