Default V6 with ProCharger

I ran the 1/4 mile this weekend. My car is an automatic with 4:10 gears and an 11psi ProCharger. I hit the REV limiter b4 the end of the 1/4 mile.(ran out of gear) I ran a 13.9,(101.3 mph) and my tuner advised that I should be running a 3.73 with the power that my car puts out, he stated that I could of easily run a 13.5-13.6

Do not run 4.10s with a supercharger.

I even out-ran an 03 Mach 1 ( by .01 seconds)
My buddy has a 65 (289 bored to a 306)with 10 grand in the motor, putting out the same rwhp as my v6, I even beat him by 3/10s .

Tell you, I am really pumped up after this weekend.

Definitely get back down to a 3.73 or 3.90 gear.

dang as cool as it is seeing those numbers they are still like slightly dissapointing for what i was hoping my car would run if i were to supercharge...hopefully with a lower gear you will hit that 13.5 mark, maybe even lower...

My 60 foot was terrible (don't even want to say), and running out of gear as I did. Iam sure that 13.5 is very possible.

you have gears now, but are going to lower ones i take it and the procharger on 11psi...what else do you have mod wise? and what do you think it will take for you to get into the 12's? just curious becasue if i do get supercharged that is what i would eventually like to hit...

The rev limiter was at about 5400 rpm. This is with the OD off.

You dont need less gear just have your limiter raised. the 3.8 can rev safely to 6k rpms. thats all you need to do. I would set the limiter at 6k flat and have the shifts set for right near that. Procharger like all centrifugal blowers make there power as the rpms raise. So this is even better for more mph and faster times as well as not hitting the limiter.

i would set the shift points for something high like 5,800-5,900rpms

Why? Your car should shift into o/d at the very end of the 1/4. Eh either way your car is shifting a little low raise that up a bit.

And **** 3.73's LOL. Keep the procharger spinning damn it!

Do not let the car shift into o/d at wot, this is very bad for the tranny.

Yep. I had the same exact problem when I had the automatic trans with 4.10 gears. I had to let off about 200' short because I was bumping the rev limiter. blah

My auto, 4.10s, & KB pulled hard down low but didn't have much room to play up top. So it wasn't a good setup for the highway.

The overdrive band isnt made to hold that kinda power. You shouldnt do that with overdrive.
