Next, measure your attenna to whatever length you want and cut it. Take a file, file the edges of the top down so the old tip can be refitted, use some epoxy and voila, instant free shorty attenna.

Yeah, i bought mine. My buddy wanted to get one for his cobra and we tried shortening my old stock attenna, worked like a charm. tool about 30 minuits, but it worked. I shoulda charged him 20 bucks for my old stock attenna.
ROFL

Thats what I did.......looks sweet and didnt have to pay a thing either

Looks good. but i like the 14 inch, so it's lined up with the top of the car. But whatever floats your boat, doesn't float mine! lol, awesome.

theres a station here that i could never get inside my garage....and i was pissed cause when i work in my garage...i usually have my car stereo playing.....but since i put the 8" one on...i can get it in perfect reception...and i got my ipod hardwired into my car so i listen to that a lil more than the radio

o and chris (ripper)...ya gotta sport the Dukes of Hazzard CB radios....i was planin to buy one a while back...but then learned that they were expensive...

I noticed a slight reception loss with my 8" ant. We got ****ty stations here anyway so no great loss. I got over a few hundred rock songs burned to CD's so rockin aint no problem here,
