Default Front plate delete

I decided to take some advice from springstang (EEK!!) and remove the front plate. The dealership drilled holes for the plate so here's an easy way to cover them up.

before...

Trim the "flash" that protrudes past the flat surface of the tag area with an exacto knife. Be careful not to f-up your paint.

Default front plate delete 2

Pick you up a couple of plastic plugs like these at autozone and trim them down on the "screw" part so you dont have to wallow out the existing bumper holes. They have a plastic crease across the front so you will want to sand this off. Prime them and paint them with some touch up paint, sanding between coats with 1000 grit and then clear them.

Viola! Looks pretty decent for a $5 "mod"

Just thought I'd write this up for anyone wanting to get rid of the plate but doesn't want to deal with the eyesore of 2 holes in the bumper. Thanks - t

Looks nice! Take the rear-wing-delete-plugs idea and apply it to the front bumper. I need to try this. Thanks for sharing!
