Well I was heading home from work and just headed towards town and I was in the far right lane doing about 35-40mph headed towards the intersection. And this fell in a Lincoln Navigator SUV is on the other side of the road and some lady gave him the right away and a gap to cut over the lanes to go into Church's Chicken and he didnt see me coming down the road and I slammed on the brakes and slid right into his rear rim. I was so pissed, I got out of the car and walked up to the guy and was like hey lets see some ins stuff and I then start calling 911. The 2 town cops pull up and the 1 guy says are you able to drive or do you need a tow truck, I was felt like pointing at the car and saying " heres your sign " but calmly said no I dont think thats a option..so yes a tow truck is required.

But he was found at fault, thank goodness and now its just going through the process of getting the car fixed again.

Looks like a new hood, 2 new fenders, headlights, and possibly a front bumper and some medical attention for my back now since it hurts a bit more today than yesterday.

That really sucks. I hope everything works out and your back feels better. Are you going to replace everything with stock parts or do a few upgrades in the process?

Wow, our wrecks this weekend are nearly identical, except I'm not injured and the hood looks fine. Hope everything works out for you, too.

I am hoping I can see about some after market parts if possible, still have to get it looked at yet to see what the final damage is. If I have my way I would get the 2001 Cobra front bumper and lights and all, and then I could still try to use the mach1 chin spoiler too. And replace the hood with a Cobra R hood, cause I dont really care for the stock GT scoop on the hoods, especially when washing the car and the dang thing just collects water in there.

My back is just aching some here and there, been trying to take it easy. Will have to see about a rental car on monday I guess, hope its not some tiny little thing.

And I said the same thing about the rims, I was glad the rims or tires werent damaged in any way. I guess it could have been really worse.

Still a bit sore man, left shoulder aches and lower right side some too...

Yeah the jackarse is trying to say it was my fault now, which the police report says something diff....dumbarse!

So the ins co is taking there sweet time doing anything, so cant move the car to body shop until they look at it since he was at fault in reality

That sucks bad... Just some advice. Go to an urgentcare or doctors office/Chiropracter ASAP!!! I Got rear ended on the freeway last august in my GT when I had it and my back felt a lil sore but I went and got checked out just in case. Just do it to document it. My neck and back ended up being perfectly fine but insurance still cut me a check for 2 grand after everything was said and done just to prevent any further liability. So def get it checked out otherwise they will try to not pay out... especially if the guy is now saying it wasnt his fault. I had another incident where an older guy hit me and was saying it wasnt his fault and it took FOREVER to get any money from his insurance due to the investigation. The guy was clearly at fault.. cited on scene and they still took 3 months to investigate. Hopefully you dont have to go through the same thing and hopefully everything is good with your back. Urgent care got me some fun pain pills and anti inflamitories so it wasnt all bad. Hope everythings good though but think about getting checked out if you havnt already.

Well the car is at a bodyshop guy about 5min from here, and he does mainly mustang work and hotrods and his work is backed up by a couple people that have had work done themselves by him. I'm sportin a Hyundai Elantra rental right now until its fixed. So I'm liking the gas mileage it has and lovin the IPOD/USB connection it has too... might have to get that feature for the mustang after a while.

Yeah I went to the doctor the other week, they gave me some inflamatory pain pills. Its not to bad now with the back pain.

So hope to have the stang back in a few weeks I guess!

well went to go see the vehicle at the body shop yesterday, they did great on the hood and drivers side fender...

( theres always a but now isnt there... )

The head lights were replaced with fogged up oxidized ones from a junkyard, the bumper they used was a aftermarket bumper which didnt line up correctly near the headlights on the side, kinda pointed down and edged back like a sharp cut to it. And they replaced one fog light with a aftermarket light on 1 side and left the other stock one which is some what discolored from were and tear.

So now we are having the adjuster come back out and re-evaluate the items in question and told them to fix it correctly with OEM or equiv. parts.

Stupid **** people!

And to add salt to the wound, didnt help me getting stop for doing like 10 over yesterday on the way into work in the morning, little **** cops in town here towards work. So it wasnt a pleasant evening!
