What motor is going in it as far as the stroker goes? 4.3? Specs? Same motor from your car being turned into a stroker? Split port or still a single?

Looks like it's coming along very well.

If that transmission you have now takes a **** and you pick up a 4R70W, just do the J mod, and a decent converter. Thats all you need done...that's from experience after I did all that work on mine and it turned out to be a giant, overpriced, piece of ****.

yes, its my original motor being turned into a stroker and im staying single port..

4.2 crank with 351w h-beam rods and custom pistons to fit

as far as the transmission, i think im just going to sell this one while its still good, maybe try to get about 300 bucks for it (it only has around 7k miles on it) and then get the 4R70W

Nice it should definately wake it up.. wouldn't suprise me if it ended up being an 11 second car very easily.

thats what im hoping for...i wouldnt mind seeing 11's

well stratch the 4.3L stroker out...the 4.2L crank wont work with the 351w h-beam rods (rods too short for the 4.2 crank), talked to supersix motorsports and he said he tried that on one build and the pistons and crank were hitting up against each other...But he said it will be a great combo with my stock 3.8L crank/351w h-beam rods and custom pistons...so i guess im going that route. Will be ordering the pistons from SSMS friday, heck maybe even tomorrow

Was hoping for a 4.3 stroker but this will do

I'm confused...the 4.3 stroker kits from supersix have a ground 4.2 crank.. and iirc the rods in the kit are 351 H-beams

I bought the 4.3 stroker from supersix..

well from my understanding from tom @SSMS, he told me that the ones i have are too short, that i would need SCAT h-beam long rods that he sells (which are the ones that you bought with the 4.3 stroker kit)

also installed the turbo headers yesterday, was starting to put the turbo kit on but ran out of time. Today I might finish that up, install the upper intake, radiator/fan and other misc....I still have it set to start her up Saturday

Is that the HKS filter? I am using it on mine and works great, just be careful not to buy the fake foam filters.

The fake foam will fall apart and get sucked into in. I purchased mine from an authorized Hks dealer. Read this http://www.hksusa.com/info/?id=3646
