OMG....really? I mean don't get me wrong, but the turbo's themselves aren't that expensive. I'd much rather buy a brand new turbo than a rusted out powerstroke turbo. Just my two cents...I wouldn't trust that thing on a lawn mower.

a turbo rebuild kit ranges from 80(basic) to 200 dollars (high performance)

so if he got the turbo for cheap he is in really good shape

Little rust that can be polished out. The piping is whats going to be expensive probably. ;x

What motor did that come off of? I hope not a Ford powerstroke, thats gonna take awhile for your little 3.8 to spool. But hey get that project started!

bad ***.. a friend of mine is working on turboing his 04 titan, he's going with a turbo similar to that, i think its a garret (t4 maybe??) off of a cummins, but its gonna be remote mount under the bed so there'll be no intercooler and he's took it somewhere to get that (iron?) pipe cut off and another stell piece brazed on to go the opposite way, it'll be running 6psi, but he has to drive 5-6 hours to get it tuned

Nice, that's the same BOV I have. You should have found the BOV kit that comes with the intercooler kit you got. That's what I did and I think for the whole intercooler/bov kit shipped to my door, it was like $190. Good stuff anyways.
