Deer chases Stang
Alright so the other day I'm driving through the middle of Indianapolis, same road I always drive on. Keep in mind I'm in the middle of the city, miles from the country.
A deer runs out in front of me, I stop in time to miss the deer, but the deer behind him doesn't stop in time to miss me. So while almost at a complete stop a deer runs into the side of my car. Most of the damage it to my fender and hood, but his head swung around and knocked out my headlight. Luckily there was no damage to the area that the plastic headlight is bolted on to which you commonly see damaged with deer accidents.
The grand total for the replacement parts is about.... 600ish dollars not including the cost I'm paying my painter.
Here's the pics...
When the police officer opened the door it let out an awful hiss and stripped the paint off of the door, it just needs a little paint touch up on the edge.
There is a gap between my fender and hood and I'm pretty sure thats just because of the large dent in the fender..... hopefully I'd hate to have to fix the bracket that mounts the hood to the car.

Yeah my deductable is 1000 dollars so I figure I'd do it myself and get some nice aftermarket parts.
I'm getting a a GT bumper and a Cervini Concept hood, also I don't think I'm going to get the standard GT grill, I may get a black billet grill instead. The bumper is almost completely intact, except towards the center of it there is a crack, it was extremely cold out the night this happened with the with chill it was about -40
Yup and the deer hit me, I was slowed down to about 10 miles per hour barely moving when it hit me, if I'd have stopped about 5-10 feet sooner it would have just ran in front of me.

lol a deer creamed the driver side door of my buddys srt4. He was at a stop sign and a deer came out of the woods and smashed his pass door broke the glass and left a nice pool of blood in the driver seat. I hate deers but they taste yummy.

Dude, that's a comprehensive claim. Your comp. deductible should be no more than $500 and it is not a chargeable accident (your insurance won't go up.) I dare your insurance company to call me a liar, I do this every day.

Dude, I ******* hate hunting because of all the douchebag rednecks that wear hunting camo for casual, and formal events.
But I can damn sure shoot a ******* rifle, and if that was my car......
Deer would be extinct.

Well this is what it is going to look like here in about 2 weeks
GT Bumper
Cervini Concept Hood
and possibly that billet grill... not sure if I like it but I'm not going to go with the stock GT grill
Opinions?

My opinion is that instead of getting that hood, grille, and all that other stuff, is to keep your Mustang looking the same as it was before the accident, stick with stock parts, and spend the remainder of the money actual performance parts. That's what I would do. Get yourself some go and then worry about show.
What website did you do that on? I've never seen anything like it and it's pretty cool.

PonyBuilder.com I believe
Well, I can't really stay stock because aftermarket is cheaper or the same price as stock parts.
Aftermarket OEM-like hood is 475 vs Cervini Hood 495 (direct from their site) not too big of a difference there.
Take off painted GT Fender is 350, my friend who does body work couldn't get me a better price
OEM Fender - 85
OEM Headlight - 90
So really I'd spend more getting all stock parts because Ford wants an arm and a leg for their parts. The extra 20 dollars for the hood doesn't really matter much to me.
As for the comment about deer being quick, they are pretty damn fast and there is never just one of them.
