I like the full tach display but I don't care for them in a car that has a tach. I think I'm gonna get the Raptor and mount it in the A/C vent...I've never seen that done before, looks awesome. Keeps the car looking clean.

 

By the way man.. what did you use to mount that?

 

I think that's the way I'm gonna go...although it seems kind of a shame to hide a light that looks that cool...

 

I like the clean look...Plus people will freak out when they ride with you at night and see it for the first time!!

I also like it mouted in front of the cluster but I think it would be better to have it off to the side so I don't get blinded.

Dude, the light is so much better...just about any ricer you see has the big autometer tachs...I just think they are kinda played out. At first they were the ****...I had one, but I gave it to my dad to put on his dune buggy.

I am just concerned that the blue Raptor light won't be bright enough through the A/C vent during the day.

Something about those big tachs that screams "STEAL MY CAR" I dont know. Im just getting a raptor. There WAS a group buy on the mach1registry.com sometime ago. Check there.

 

A few of my friends that I used to kick it with in high school had their windows busted and the tach ripped right out of their dashes...it sucks but that's part of the reason I got rid of mine...and it's kinda distracting.

 

i might just go with a light, who knows.

HOLY HUGE PIC BATMAN!!! Looks nice though. Oh, and about the shift light on the auto, some built autos have to be manually shifted, just without a clutch.

you don't have to mount the tach to your dash at all or put any holes in it. Only problem is if you want to only use the tach at the track you have to go in and take your stereo out and all that junk :shrug:

 

that's what i was talking about back on the first page of this thread. i have it mounted in my car, works great.
