It's a whole different ball game dude, be careful out there. cockiness is one of the biggest causes of death on a sportbike, so keep yourself in check. have fun

+1 have had may freinds wreck there bikes either showing off or trying to keep up with more experienced riders in corners...I should know wrecked my first bike (a katana) going into a corner to hot and low sided it, definately different than a dirtbike.

By the way when you buy tires for a sportbike never go cheap (shinkos) or use touring tires if you are an aggressive rider, sport touring tires are good if your using the bike for alot of strait line commuting and occasional canyon carving. I use pilot powers and get only about 3-3.5k miles out of them...but they stick like glue on the street and can be used for occasional track days. Its always a peice of mind to know your on good tires also.

That is a nice bike...As far as your buddies looking for 1000's I hope the are pros because half the people out there that ride the 1000cc bikes should not be. 600 or 750 if your are talking gixxers is the best way to go. They are alot more forgiving when you make a mistake.

lol they all say 600 arent enough for them, but for me a 600 is more than enough its something to ride.

I had fun on my 600 and it was plenty..Not sure what type of riding you will be doing, but for the twistes you can't go wrong with a 600. Alot of the people that have 1000 are strictly guys that want to say they have a bad *** fast bike. Its always funny seeing a skilled rider on a 600 or 750 making a noob or average rider on a 1000 look silly.

Nice bike, just be careful here in Orlando. I have only been riding for 6 months and I have had a few close calls with people who didn't see me. If you ever wanna met up and cruise shoot me a PM. I have a muscle cruiser though, So I will try to keep up lol.
