im looking for buy a good digital camera to take decent pics anyone know of a good camera around the $300 range either from staples or bestbuy? have no idea what to look for in a decent camera..

 

Canon makes great ones from 300-400 and best buy sells them. I cant remember which one my sister got but it takes great pics plus has alot of features. Pic a Canon from the best buys site and start looking for reviews to see what its short comings are. To me the olnly cameras worth getting are the SLRs.

 

how much do those run for? i just want a camera for decent pics and maybe a exhaust vid or 2.. not looking for a professional camera

 

I agree. Go with anything from Canon. They make great stuff.

 

Dont forget to get a tripod if you dont already have one! A good camera needs a good and steady base!

 

800 and up... Just get yourself a nice canon and youll be more than happy.

 

800 bills! screw that ill look into the canons... the canon powershots? whats a good megapixel? and all that goodies?

 

i have a sony dsc-w7...cost me about 250 bucks off ebay. works great for what it is...but you cant go wrong with canon either.

 

i would look for either a nikon D50 or canon digital rebel on ebay ... not sure what they go for these days but those are the cheapest, but best quality of the cheapest, SLR's

 

yea, check ebay I got mine for 220 brand new and they go for 500 at Best Buy
