2nd Annual Gallop Around the Bay (SanFrancisco)
Greetings all you hippies.
The mustang clubs around here are a pretty tight knit group and so every year we have a multitude of inter-club get togethers where wild things are sure to happen despite our best efforts.
This year we had possibly the best event I've ever attended, the 2nd annual Gallop Around the Bay. See below for a set of pics from the start of the event.
We started with 54 cars leaving Alameda, and by the time we'd gone over the Bay Bridge and down 101 to the Dumbarton Bridge there appeared to be 73 cars with us. It's not uncommon for us to pick up strays with nothing better to do along the way, which is a source of much pride. We ended up taking over the Dumbarton bridge entirely. We had cars 3 wide (1 per lane thank you) and more than 20 deep, all rolling door to door at 5mph under the speed limit (I was in front with the other 2 leads keeping the group penned up and together). We had cars backed up for miles behind us most of whom were obviously kinda upset about us inducing a traffic jam. My bad.
Without further ado, here's them pics: (I'll post links to more later)

Mine is the dark blue one in the middle of the 6th picture that appears on the thread (not a link, an actual pic). There's a guy with a white hat and blue shirt looking in it (checking out the nitrous switches and roll bar probably).
I'll link in some better pics shortly.
We had the event on the 15th of this month. Last year's was at about the same time. To catch all the local events and hook up with local clubbies check out the following links (sorry MT for linking other boards...)

www.cafords.com
www.wildhorsesclub.com
Most of the members of those three are local to the Bay and Sacto area.
The cruise was wild fun. Going over the bay bridge was a riot. There was a Dodgers/Giants game in SF so everyone and their brother was crossing the Bay Bridge, which jammed up traffic, then we show up at the tolls in a HUGE line and cars are stopping on other overpasses to check out the line-up. I was shocked we didn't spark an accident or ten.
