Default Hello Fellow Ford Guys

Hi I'm Brian From central Florida. I don’t own a Mustang but I do own a Ford. It’s a 2000 Crown Victoria. It’s slow, But not for long. I managed to score a free 2003 5.4 SOHC out of an F-series pickup. So it’s going into the Vic. Along with a 5-speed manual, and every other go fast Goodie I can find. I’m keeping my build N/A and I hope to see around 420Hp at the crank. It’s a 5.4 so I’m not very worried about weak Torque output. I was told to come here by 96blackgt54, who is also on the CrownVic.Net with me, because there seems to be a fair number of Mustangers that have done, or want to do, a 5.4 swap. I hope to read some good tech articles. I know the 5.4 and 4.6 have a lot in common. My build as of now hasn’t got every far due to money issues but I’m working on that.

Why a 5.4 over a 4.6. Well, Torque was a big factor seeing how I have a big car.
The second factor, There is no replacement for displacement.

You'll find a really long thread in the 4.6 tech section devoted to us swappers.

There's like 10 guys here now with 5.4's already in their car or currently installing. I love mine to death. You'll really enjoy it. Mileage doesn't drop much either.
