Lightbulb Give me a chance...Just read this fellow mustang lovers

Why don't mustang owners wave to each other? My Dad has a vette and they wave, my friends have bikes and they all wave to each other. I know there are many different kinds of mustangs, But were carrying on one of the oldest sports car traditions on in the book. I know were all proud of our cars, right?!?! So whats the deal? Lets get something going here! :wav:

I wave to fellow mustang owners, give 'thumbs up' if i like it, and give a little rev if i am fealing sporty. around here, many of the mustangs are stock, so the thumbs up is more rare, and the rev i give to some of the GT's around here (they eventually learn its a v6 not a v8, and they enjoy it)

Here in South Louisiana we wave to each other... unless you can plainly tell that both of them are very modified - then you give the "big rev" to see who sounds tougher. Sometimes followed by a thumbs up.

down here its a nod and a rev... the reason i think it not as common to wave is their are tons of Mustangs on the road but not everyone is into Mustangs like we are here in this forum....

I dont know about you but most of the people that own pustangs cant drive them and or make them gay so i dont bother to deal with them unless they are nasty and then maybe i wave but normaly i could care less.

I happen to work at McDonald's here in Minnesota, and anytime someone comes through the Drive-Thru with a Stang I will always go over and talk to them for a bit. On the road, I just oggle the other Stangs I see...heheh. Sometime I do a bit of a wave or the "rev" just to say "hey, what's under you're hood?" it's fun.

You can't drive across town here and not see 6 Mustangs. Some wave and some don't. It is hard to tell the difference from those that are enthusiasts and those that aren't. If I see modifications, I wave. If not, oh well.

I dont wave at cars really, unless they let me go at a stop sign or something or out of a parking lot or whatever. Most of the people who drive stangs have 6ers and they look like people who just drive it to work or whatever and arnt really in the whole mustang ring and wouold probably think that I'm a psycho waving at them. But if I'm next to a good challege and we both take off on eachother I would usually clap my hands to let the other person know that I approve, not that my approval means much anyways :P

Around here the young guys all have very loud exhaust and throw rev's at me. The old guys drive Cobra's and think that their poop doesn't stink so they look with disapproval at my lowey GT. The V6's are mostly women who could care less. I wave at nice Stangs, the Cobras I wave to with one finger.

Where i live there are maybe 2 other stangs here and they usually just sit in their driveways soo no one really to wave too and the only person to ever wave to me was some guy in a neon who was doing the 1 finger salute cause i dusted him lol

Here in VA BEACH, it has become a mustang buy frenzy. Most are V-6 and dont care if you wave or not. Only bikers give signals to each other. If anything though, it is a rev of the engine.

Texas here, Dallas. It's cause there are so many, you might as well leave your hand up in the air as you drive. :icon_salu

Talking

I live in San Marcos, Texas and here there are so many stupid v6 punks who wouldn't know a cobra from a GT. I wave and even talk to those people who have done mods that are respectable. Once i was talkin to a guy with minor mods and sittin next to him was a guy in a sixer with a huge wing he asked me why i wouldn't talk to him and i told him show with no go means no respect.

I love when they have a totally unmatching Aluminum Wing, that looks like it came off a sprint car racer. Even worse when i see it on a ford Tempo or Taurus.

Ive helped many Kids in the past that just dont know or have a clue. They dont know what a muscle car is, My days you got dads hand me down, or your older brother schooled you. Nowadays, There just arent cheap Muscle.

My first car was, back in 1984 I was 16, a 1970 Mustang Mach1 351 Clevland C6 Tranny. It had 3.90 gears, 9 MPG!!! You guys talk about fearing the gear!! Think about a 3 speed Auto, No over drive. Or a 4 speed, Still no overdrive. 1:1 final ratio on a auto or Manual. Same as riding on the highway in 4th always!!!

I paid $1800 for it, My old man said i paid too much for it. Camaros and mustangs back then were all over the used car lots, Cheap. I sold it to get something lighter, No joke i sold a Mach 1 to buy a friends VEGA that had a Chevy 350!!! If you dont know what a Vega is, Its Chevys answer to a Pinto!!!

If you can help one of the kids that have no clue, at least try. Explain NEON does not make your car faster, Nor does a 1 inch inlet muffler with a 5 inch outlet. And always all of them have a freind whos Honda or Acura Runs 10's!!! Since its a type R

As much as I hate rice Stangs, that sounds pretty damn rude to me. At least humor the poor guy, he might learn something from you.

Around my town there are 16 and 17 year old kids driving Mach 1's and Cobra's. The kid with the Cobra ****ed up his V6 doing donuts, so his parents bought him the Cobra. If he's dangerous with 190 hp, imagine how dangerous the bastard is with 320? It pisses me off. I worked long and hard for my 03 V6.

It all depends on the person. Some people think their **** don't stink, so they think their car is better. I'm friendly myself, I wave or give a thumbs up. And when I'm on my bike I always give a head nod to another biker. It's all good, let them hate if they want to.
