ok, i'm going to post my cost list tonight... but i wanted to add a tid bit about getting a forced induction KIT on the 5.4L DOHC... Not Possible. I couldn't even pay someone to custom a job.
Apparently TTI has plans in the next year, to begin molding a piece for the 4 valve. But he told me if I could get 4-5 people to buy in and put a deposit down they could spool a prototype out in 3-4 months. Nice guys...
A list of customer service:
Sullivan Performance - A, nice-available-knowledgeable
Sean Hyland - B, knowledgeable, busy, and slow shop. (going to try to send my turbo grind cams back so we'll see how good they are)
AMP Performance - B-, lowest price i found for a new t56 kit, Tom is knowledgeable, but I get the feeling he's only interested in my money, got rude with me at one point.
Turbo Charged Power - A++, Tom is amazing, friendly, super smart, and spend 40 min. on the phone with me teaching me.
Scoggin Dickey - B+, is a buisness, they dont do many Fords, but they are smart... but your just a # to them.

hmm
Well i can get my hands on a set of custom made headers for the 5.4 navi heads... which i have... and i was thinking if i have the headers i can just custom fab the rest... fab it all together send it off to get JET coated...
I dont really plan on dropping a turbo kit on for another year... unless the price is wright....

A 3.27 rear gear combined with the 1st gear of a T56 will result in a very slow accellerating car, especially if it's n/a or turbo.

gears
I was going to try and drive it with 3:73's and then see where i was at... Then switch... i was thinking i would probably switch down... but you probably know better then me... So guess if i get it installed and 3:73's arent even doing good... ill defintly know you were correct on the 3:27's
#4598
If the gears are already installed it doesn't ever pay to switch by one ratio, not nearly enough difference to justify the cost. FWIW I had 3.90s installed with an auto trans and thought they were perfect, but I also had 315 Nitto drag radials on the back.....

as far as the gears go, 3.73's are pretty much the best all around gear for a 5.4 as far as actual drag racing on slicks is concerned
3.73's with 26" tire is great for high 10 passes rpm wise, if you go faster than that just use a 28" more sidewall for higher power grip and gives you a little more top end....if you really blow those off then go to a 29.5 and adjust the wheel wells, you will need the extra sidewall of a 29.5 at those powerlevels

my motor and trans are back in waiting for intake and exhaust.

my garage is now the home of the 5.4 swap, i've pulled/installed my motor/trans 4 times so far. and hunter is next.

I wouldn't hesitate to run a 4.10 gear, especially if the bottom end is forged.

An update on my build!
I finally finished the 10 rib crank pulley for the Holley blower. The O.D of the pulley is 6.750" and the blower pulley is 2.750". That should put the 2.4l blower at a little less then 2.5-1 rotation. Would that mean it should see 5.9l per rotation? The blower can handle 16,000 rpms. My plans are to keep it around 5,000 rpms max and keep the 3.27 gear in it.
I really hate how long it is taken me to get my project done. I have all the parts needed to finish, just don't have the strength to work on it. I wished I have never started on it so I could still be driving the car, even though it was a turd!
I have surgery to get my colon removed next week and in place a poop shoot(bag). Hopefully I can start to live life again. 12 years of this ****!
WISH ME LUCK GUYS!

96black... buy some good luck man. You're making me sad.
shakin: as far as I can tell it's not a bad thing to do period on the modulars in mustangs. The coolant flow dead ends on the driver side head. I got my fix in this way:
The HPS intake has bungs cast in in the right places to make it pretty easy to do.

I need to do the coolant mod to the holley intake. R3D maybe you can make me one of those snazzy crossover hoses?
What is that on the driver side fuel rail? a sensor? or is it not on the fuel rail?

I can zip one up for you no problem. It'll cost 35 bones shipped, includes -6 hose pre-assembled with aluminum fittings and 2x -6AN to 3/8" NPT adapters. That's for straight hose end fittings. If you want any angle fittings (60,90,120 degree) on the hose ends (not really needed but nice looking) it's 10 bucks extra.
LMK... I can zip one up tonight.
The thing on the rail is my fuel pressure sensor.

28's fit fine on my car with bullit springs and stock shocks, with adjustable rear coilovers for ride height and a little work on the rear fender wells a 29.5 shouldn't be too difficult

I started this project in late Feb. and I think its going tooooo long. So I'm going to take out a loan and finish up the last 10k.

I never saw plans or the actual bracket it self. Not sure if I missed what the guy wanted to do.
I will, however, still help out.
