street gearing.
i got some work done on my tranny 97 auto...when i asked about putting in 4:10 gears fromford racing he said that he does not recommend them because they are soft and are really only benificial for the track. he said they will not last as long and will become loud after a while.what do you think? he make he suggested was Yukon.

Not at all. 4.10s are quite streetable and mine havnt whined at all. So long as they are put in by a competant installer, they will be fine. I would suggest FRPP or Movite personally, so long as the person knows how to install them.

Even the guys from 5.0 mag or MMFF, suggests either 3.73 or 4.10's for automatics, But i would go with 4.10's. They are reliable and you'll need a little more for you auto. I had 4.10's in my 95 GT, though 5 speed, i never had a problem and wouldn't of had it any other way. My saleen has 3.73's, but i bought it that way, i would have done 4.10's for it also.
