what should i do ??
After doing all of the basic bolt ons for my 97 gt...i want to move on to the next step. I am not sure which way to go so let me know which one of these you guys prefer and why?? Money is somewhat of a concern, but i realize that both of these options are both very costly and produce really good hp.
1) PI heads/intake (ported and polished), VT stage 1 cam
- If not PI, what are the best heads/intake/cam package to get??
2) Supercharger
- The only thing with getting a supercharger is because i already did a lot of mods to the stang, would i have to change anything that i already modded? (such as gears and throttle body and intake)??
I didnt want to have to change any mods i already did to the stang, so let me know which route would be the best to go. Also, whichever route you choose could you please give which companies you suggest?? thanks guys

I would do the heads/cams and intake. A supercharger is nice but the heads will make a future supercharging into a serious wow factor instead of just really nice ... gotta watch the boost though since you're on pretty high static compression with PI heads and a 96-98 bottom end. If you can build the bottom end do it now. It's more expensive to do it later since you'll have to rip the heads off again.
You can see 300rwhp from a good P&P, nice cams and a good tune with PI heads on a 97 bottom end NA. Add 8lbs of intercooled boost and you'll see 350+.
As for companies... meh find a good tuner in your area and have them do it for you. It's easier. If you want to do it yourself then patriot has a pretty good rep and proven performance.

i was actually just thinking about getting the whole PI kit from http://www.parkwayperformance.com/2vheadswap.asp . I was than planning on getting the heads/intake ported and polished and throwing a set of vt stage 1's in there. My mechanic told me with the port and polish and tune he can do to my car he can gaurantee i'll get 120 rwhp with this setup.(considering i already have full exhaust and a decent amount of upgrades)
Let me know your thoughts.

unless you're making around 150rwhp right now your mechanic is over stating his guarantee a tad.
decent 96-98 rwhp is like 190-212 bone stock. Promising 100hp isn't unreasonable, promising the extra 20 isn't always there to be had. If you're making the average 200 at the wheels, then 320 at the wheels is a distinct possibility by not a likelihood. I'd do it anyway cuz' 300rwhp is very exciting when you've gotten used to non-pi performance.
