Default Raptor Shiftlight (Blue)

Let's get the basics out of the way...

1. 2003 Ford Mustang GT
2. Ease of install: 7
3. Instructions are not provided but they are available on their website.
4. Overall Satisfaction: 8
5. Purchased directly from Raptor

Now if any of you pay attention to my posts you know I've been crying about this thing for months. The truth is it's a great product and looks way better than a huge tachometer with a shiftlight mounted to your dash.

The light is very easy to install.. whenever I received it Raptor didn't have instructions on their site yet (they do now) so I used this link http://www.mustanghowto.com/interior...ft%20Light.htm
The pictures are very clear and helpful. Install is easy as long as you're comfortable working with wires near the PCM. You just have to splice the two wires from the shiftlight into two wires and attach a wire under a screw for a ground.

Immediately after install I wanted to test it out so me and my dad get in the car and went for a ride, before I even backed out of the driveway the SES light came on. We went ahead and tested the light and it worked great. I had it set for 5000 rpms and it would come on for a few seconds. It was VERY bright. In fact a few nights I was playing around with some friends racing and when I was down the road they could see the shift light come on. Since it threw a code I got out my SCT Xcal 2 to read it and it was P1233.. fuel pump disabled. Well obviously the fuel pump was not disabled because the car was operating normally. I left it installed for a few months and the SES light never went away. I eventually unhooked it and tried hooking it up again using Raptor's instructions (which were the same) with the same results. I currently have the light unhooked but it worked awesome, except for the SES light.

I plan to get a new light and see if that fixes my problem. I couldn't tell you if the SES light is coming from a defective shift light or if my car just has an issue on where it's being plugged into. If I unhook the shiftlight the SES light goes away. I tried regrounding the shiftlight's ground to several different places with no luck. I'll let you guys know if the new one fixes my issue!

mine works great, the only thing is wiring it, you basically have to be upside down in your passenger seat for about an hour. very uncomftorble other than that, awesome product
