Can Anyone Help Me Out?i Am Installing A Vortech Sq Trim On A 1997
Cobra Myself.never Having Done This Before I Am Not Sure About Tuning.i Have A Msd Dis-4 Ignition Already Installed Bought The Super Charger Used And Do Not Have Chip.the Dis-4 Can Be Used To Retard The Timing Which Is Detramental To Reduce The Chance Of Detonation.is It Possible To Use The Msd Instead Of A Chip.i Am Also Putting In 42# Injectors.any Help Would Be Greatly Appreciated. Jason

without a chip its gonna run like total **** with 42#ers and no tune. unless you got a maf caliurated for 42#ers even then it would still run like crap get a tune.

get one from they they have a speacil for 375 for the excalibrator flasher and they are awsome at tuning.

Be careful with the bottom end as its the weakest point. I am dropping a 98 Cobra block shortly with new rods,pistons in prep for SC or turbo so keep boost to a min and get it tuned. A couple of hundred $$ is better than a couple of thousand $$ in repairs. There was a vid of a SC Cobra racing a LS1 vette and it smoked the vette but right after he had a sunroof on the Block.

I agree it's better to spend a little more now than a h#$$ of alot later. Also if you're already spending that $$$$ take it to a good speed shop and have a good tune done. Not only safer but possibly more power. Also a whole lot more reliabiltiy and driveability
