i have a small problem when im driving normal around town when i go to third gear it grinds but not all the time i have learned to adjust to it when switching from 2nd to third i go to neutral to third not straight to third so it does not do it only because i do not have the money to fix it right now and warranty is out on the cardoes anyone know what it could be i know i will have to fix it i was hoping it wasnt the syncros because that will cost alot to fix if i need a new clutch then that will be better because if that is the deal then i might as well get a new better tranny

 

what year car?

if its a late 01-04 you have the 3650 and there is a TSB out to fix just that. you might be able to get ford to do it for free even without warrenty.

We kinda need to know what year car it is since there are two transmissions over the span of 10 years that we need to account for.

Actually there are 3. (Referring to only Manual)

 

its an 02 gt manual transmission

 

like i said you have the 3650. there is a TSB out ot fix that problem call ford tell them you never got the notice for the TSb and want it done and try to talk them into fixing it for free.
