More Hp
#6
There are many, many options as you can see. The popular ones are as follows: (and no arguing about my hp estimates....they are realistic estimates, not what the dam advertisers say - LOL)
Chip/tune/programmer - 8 - 15 hp
Plenum and TB swap - 10 hp
Cat back - 0 - 5 hp
X Pipe - 10 hp
Headers - 0 - 15 hp
Nitrous - Realistically, 100 - 125 is about the max w/o doing engine work
Gears - Adds no hp, but has the same affect as adding 25 - 50 hp depending on which gear ratio you choose.
Under Drive pullies - 5 - 10 hp
Supper Charger/Turbo - 100 - 150 hp
Cam swap - 10 - 30 hp
Head swap - 20 - 50 hp
Now, there you have it. Not all of these add up as you might expect. Some of these mods are quite costly and others are not. And, obviously a few of them take a great deal of thought.

Well, by far the best upgrade would be a blower such as a SC or turbo. Figure $3,000 - $4,000 by the time you are done, and it could be a LOT more.
For as less as $500 you can add the same amount of power with a nitrous kit. But, nitrous is not always there.
I run nitrous. It is a lot of fun. But you really need to research it. I had as much fun learning about it as I do using it.

Forget the ignition, you dont use a distributor, so those little boxes do nothing. We have coil on plug ignition. As far as nitrous, do a search as to what you need to run it safely, that horse has been beaten to death. Id definately go with the spray.

you have to run 93 octane (only when your going to spray) run one step colder plugs (NGK TR6's are good for this) and keep the shot below 125. for most people a safe jetting is 100hp and will add a monster kick int he pants and requires no fuel upgrades and doesnt really need a tune. A tune is a good investment ot make it safer and add more power but not needed with such a small shot (on wet systems that inject FUEL and N20, not dry that inject n2o only).
