I raced a guy that said he just had 4:10s with a mini spool and a stock motor. He had a 99 GT. I sprayed the 100 shot on him and I won but only pulled like 2 cars on him. It was like he was spraying a 75 shot or something. Do gears make the car THAT much faster? If so I need them ASAP.

 

Gears took almost .5 off my 1/4 time. I also gained 3-4 mph.

 

I gained about a half second with my 3.73's.

 

I would say that 4.10's are about the equivalent of a 40 shot!

 

Walbro 255 Fuel Pump


I noticed your running this fuel pump. Isnt this to be used on return style fuel systems ?? Just didnt know if you were aware that 98 and earlier pumps wont last very long in the 99+ models.

 

Yep, gears do pick it up quite a bit ....but only if you can get the car to hook. Now if you want to really have some fun, go with 4.10 and nitrous. Here's a vid ....not near my best pass but fun none the less

I could nto see the end of the run. What was the time and speed? What other mods have you done besides 4.10's and the juice?

 

That pass was 11.91@114 on a 125 shot of NX......the car has gone as fast as 11.56@118 on a nice cool day with a 1.60 60'. Got a drag suspension and gears, juice and weighs ~3200# with me in it

That is about what I thought. I could tell you had a drag suspension and I did not realize the car was that light. I am probabaly more like high 12's with my setup.

There is something about a stang with no wing, a nice hood and that style of rims that says "I just might be able to run an 8, so get the hell out of my way."

where did you get the jets for a 125 shot? i am running 4.10s and nitrous(100 shot) with stock suspension and running a 12.6 with a 2.0 60' trapping a 110. i would love to run a 125 and i have NX as well but it goes from 100 to 150 for hp settings.

 

All you need is a #57 N2O jet, Zex makes a 57 and are interchangable with NX. Get a tune to determine your fuel jet size and you're good to go. Might want to beef up that fuel pump if you're going over 100hp
