nitrous, gears, and more
ok so i have 4.10 gears and i am going to get the venom 1000 kit some time soon. my car is an auto and im just wondering if i was shooting my self in the foot by getting 4.10's if i plan on using a 75-100 hp shot...is traction gonna be a huge issue........also does that venom 1000 come with a window switch??? thanx TRNIN

You might have some problem from take off with 4.10's and a 100 shot, but its all on how you drive your car. I personally have 3.73's on my mustang and run a 75 shot with no problems. I don't know if the kit you are trying to buy comes with a window switch or not, but most do. I have my nitrous set up on a button, so when i spray from 1st and blow the tires off, i just let of the button and spray until second...

You will be fine! Having 4.10's with a Venom-1000 is not ideal, but you will be fine. IMO, not worth the expense of changing back. Keep in mind, 95 - 99% of the time you will be driving n/a.
I run 4.10's with the Venom-1000 on a 5 speed. Spraying in 2nd is a real hoot! You will hook-up.
One of the neat features about the Venom-1000, is that there is a slight delay after going to WOT and the nitrous. This slight delay makes all the difference in the world when it comes to gettng traction.
Now, here is another neat feature! As you know, the Venom-1000 will not spray until you are at WOT and the a/f is good, right? Well, you can also add a push button. The Venom computer is already pre-wired to accept a push-button activation switch.
When launching, you smash the pedal. As car shifts to second, you push the button and the nitrous will now spray as long as you are at WOT and have a good a/f. This way, you can delay the spray if you wish.
The venom systems do not have a window switch because you don't need one with this setup.

No you wont get traction. I wouldnt even try to spray it on the street. You will need slicks to hook up at the strip. You definately need a window switch. Dont trust the Venom cutting it off when it goes lean.
I have stock gear and I dont get traction at all in 1st. Maybe if you had some good DR's like the M/T ET streets or something. The Nitto DR's dont hook up under spray with stock suspension.

and yes 1500 at wot with the kit on is bad, you'll make like 600ft lbs on a 100shot though.
