Has Anyone Installed A 2.4 Kenne Bell Supercharger On A 99 Cobra?i Just Bought One On Ebay And People Are Telling Me It Can't Be Done.it's Exclusively For 03-04 Cobras.if Anyone Knows If It Can Be Done Let Me Know.

Yes it will work. The 03/04 cobras use the same intake bolt configuration as the 01. The 01 cobra intake will bolt right on to the 03/04 cobra heads. You could take a supercharger/intake off of an 03 and bolt it onto an 01. You might need to buy the lower intake manifold from an 03/04 cobra. You will have to pretty much swap every part that comes on the 03 cobra's intake manifold to your car. You do have a forged bottom end right?

 

Nope, It's The Stock 99 Cobra Aluminum Block.you Know,the One Made Of Glass.i Only Plan To Run About 10 Psi.i Know A 2.4 Kenne Bell Is An Over Kill But I Guess The Price Was Right.($4000. And Includes Everything But Injectors,boost A Pump ,and The Chip Which I Don't Need Because I'm Sct Tuned Already)how Certain Are You About This Swap?i Don't Want To Tear Into The Motor And Then It Doesn't Fit.i May Let A Shop Do It And If I Go That Route I'll Have To Pay The Labor Only To Find Out It Doesn't Work.let Me Know.

 

well you do have a forged crank...go get some mainly rods....the best thing to do is get 03-04 heads too cause they are made for supers..ie. .. cams

After you get the necessary parts to bolt on that supercharger, you will end up paying more money that what the kenne bell kit for the 99 & 01 cobra runs....

 

You would have probably been better off to spend the extra 1500-2000 and bought a new kit for the 99 and 01 snake. You will probably be cheaper and it will actually be designed for that car.

Let Me Clarify What Comes With This Deal. A 2.4 Kenne Bell Charger W/ Less Than 1000 Miles,03 Cobra Intercooler & Mounting Brackets,90mm Sct Meter Calibrated For 60's,03 Cobra Pumps Plus Two New Svt Focus Pumps,metco Quick Change Pulleys 2# And 4#,metco Billet Aux. Idler Pulley,and Two Billet 90mm Idler Pulleys.all This For 4g.i Think I Did Pretty Good.the Kenne Bell Kit Is Almost 7 Grand And That Doesn't Include The 03 Intercooler,meter,some Of The Pulleys & Other Stuff.i'm Into It Now For About $4700 And That Includes The 60lb Injectors,boost And Fuel Cages With Pod.if I Can Make All This Work I Feel I Did Alright.let Me Know What You Guys Think.
