Well is i am low on money now ever since i bought the bassani cat, but is removing the air silencer out and dropping a k & n filter in worth it? I mean how much gain, would i expect? Do i need to remove the air silencer? Does it help, if i take it out?

Nope its good for about 2-4hp and it's free.CAI's dont do much better for alot of money.

 

I alsoheard removing silencer is good for a 2-3 hp loss. I don't know why (removing a restriction).

K&N + silencer removal = you don't need to waste money on a CAI.

i went one step further and dremeled out half the air box

 

I am not thinking of buying a CAI, i was wondering if its needed t be done. Or can i just leave it alone, like how it came from the dealer, and just add a k & n filter!??
