Default K&N Air intake for 07 Mustang GT

I installed the below K&N air intake for my 2007 Mustang GT. For the about 3 weeks the car ran like a champ, then one day it started running a little rough and I noticed the check engine light on. I looked under the hood and the intake came off where it hooks onto the manifold. I reattached it and took it to the Ford dealer for them to reset the computer and get the check engine light off. Ever since the intake fell off, the car has been a little hard to start in the morning and seems to hesitate at times and occasionally drives rough. The mechanic at the Ford dealer said that I might have to put the original intake back on, but I'm thinking there must be something else wrong because it used to run great. Any ideas? Thank you in advance.

Well theres two problems.

1) If the intake didn't require a tune, then you wasted your money anyways.

2) It should've been tightened better in the first place. Since its came off I'd check to see if the MAF and everything is clean now. Dirty MAF and/or any intake sensors can cause the car to run off.

How do you clean the MAF sensor?
