id get a o/r xpipe...this will give you better performance than a H pipe. On the sound preference, it depends on which route you want to go. An H pipe will give you a deeper muscle car sound while an x pipe will give you a higher pitch raspier tone. I have an x pipe on my car and absolutely love it. If you're going to spend the money on a midpipe make sure its not with cats. You want to hear the difference!!

I have an o/r x and I have to say, I love it. The sound had to grow on me since I grew up with old school muscle cars, but I wouldn't change it. As far as how loud it is, I would say either one will be loud enough for you. BE WARNED: I have been pulled over for just cruising on the interstate b/c my exhaust was too loud. I didn't get a ticket, but I did get stopped. Whichever way you go, enjoy it.

Go find mustang owners in your area or drag strip, and LISTEN to their cars. Midpipes are all about personal preference. It just depends on what you want the car to sound like. Go to the videos forum and go to the exhaust clips. Listen to some of those and maybe youll find one you like.
