I need to upgrade my internals while my whole motor is ripped apart. This is the kit I was extremely interested in:

Thoughts?

I won't be going anything more than 600hp so i really dont see the need to upgrade my crank.

Manley has been around forever and two weeks. I dont think Cushman sells too much ****. This should work just fine.

it's everything but a forged crank. It's a great set of parts and a lot of cash. Call up The Mustang Depot in Riverside, CA and see what they can do for you. http://www.themustangdepot.com/servl...ate/about/Page

I know they can put you into forged h-beams and probe slugs with rod bearings and piston rings for <1100.

Dont know if you made your decision yet or not but I'd highly advise doing the crank while you're in there. Using the cobra crank instead of the cast crank will mean skies the limit on your power versus stuck where you are, and 600 isn't bad but the addiction will set in with the quickness. So 2 choices here basically, you build it like you want it with no plans to upgrade or you build it and do it right for the future and have no worries ever again.

I started out just like you exactly, no more than 600hp...now I just dropped a brick of money and I'll be running 825BHP within a month. Think about it and decide what the future is gonna look like, that's my 2 cents bro...

thanks a lot for the info man. I didnt buy the forged rotating assembly yet because I decided to take care of some other mods first. I bought PI heads yesterday that I am getting ported/polished and within the next few weeks I'm sending my SQ trim to Vortech to be upgraded to the SI trim. After this though, I will be doing forged internals so I'll consider the crank and decide which route I wanna go

I want to stress getting the crank just one more time because it's very important if you ever plan on going any further. I can tell already from your posts that power is getting the better of you hehe...just put the cobra crank in there and then once the power addiction begins to feed on your soul and your wallet you'll be putting a blower/turbo on there before you know it. Keep us posted.

I already had a pretty bad *** setup before I even started the motor build up, so I know all about the power addiction. I already have an sq trim, crower blower cams, PI manifold, paxton intercooler, full bolt ons, built auto, 3500 stall, yada yada. yeah, i'm going to consider the crank
