Default power steering

somone told me im supposed to put auto trans fluid in my 99 gt powersteering pump and im just wondering if thats true or not?

Check your owners manual as your year may be different then mine. However my car does use ATF.

yea i would but for som reason people think its cool to keep owners manuals when they sell their car so i diddnt get one when i bought my car used lol..its probably the same though thanks.

Use Mercon/ Dexron III or Mercon ATF. Don't use that clear **** marked "Power Steering Fluid" in a Ford. You'll be replacing the steering rack in a bit if you do.

I use mobil 1 ATF in mine. Redline steering fluid is supposed to be good and get rid of heat quickly, I've never used it though.

My manual calls for mercron V tranny fluid.
