I was looking at some of these a while ago. They are pretty cheap and that makes me wonder if they'll start rusting or whatever

They're cheap.

Don't go cheap on something as vital as LT's. I have a Pypes O/R X, but I would never buy longtubes or cat-backs from them as I've heard they have extreme variations in fitment from perfect to not lining up at all.

Like I told j_gutta, look for either Kooks, American Racing, or JBA headers. Those have been what I've previously had experience with before and they were great.

And don't cheap out on the coating either. Get ceramic/jet coated or don't do it at all.

The axle back that pypes, the muffler delete sounds good. Research shows that they have a problem with the hangers lining up right. Simple fix. I think I'm going to get that axle back instead of the SLP's

Any header is gonna rust unless its made of stainless steel or ceramic coated.

They pypes headers say they are stainless steel... I don't know I would still be afraid to put them on my car....... I really don't have a good reason. Just that they are cheap. lol. Maybe I should be the first here to try them.

Just because they are cheaper doesn't always mean its a shitty product. Mac's products are cheaper then most and I have had no problem with any of my Mac products. And like I said as long as they are stainless or ceramic coated they will not rust out. Uncoated headers like the ones offered by pacesetter, hooker, mac, and I'm sure others that I forgot will rust because they just have paint on them which burns off and then they rust. They offer those because they are much cheaper then their coated headers.

I'll snoop around and see if I can find anyone with the Pypes longtubes and see what they have to say about them.

a couple of friends of mine have used pypes products, and they've had nothing but problems. their fitment sucks, they rust quickly, and a plethora of other issues.

anytime. do you have other exhaust mods?? i'd stick with one brand personally, just to avoid fitment issues.

I wanted the muffler delete but I don't think I will even do that now. I would like to go the the SLP's and a off road x pipe but I think that will be extremely 2 loud. Who cares though cuz I hardly drive the Mustang. I've heard the muffler delete from pypes doesn't line up right and you have to take it to a shop to get the hangers aligned again.

I'm in love with my set-up.

FRPP Stingers and a Pypes O/R X sounds amazing in person, not loud under regular throttle until about 2,500-3k RPM, but at idle it sounds so ******* mean. And a nice rev to about 4-5k will make the panties drop like flies. Lol.

Plus it was hella cheap compared to other set-ups.

Yeah buddy looks like I am gonna just go with the JBA Longtubes and Catted H... unless I can figure out a place here in VA to inspect the car... I used to have to drive 2hours to get my Trans Am and Camaro inspected... Heard alot of good things about JBA and helped install them in a 03 Cobra

Most places will "inspect" your car you just have to ask them directly. They don't like to tell people incase the word spreads and they get caught.

Thats what I had to do.
