+1 i've never seen a light on my obd2 port

are you sure it's not some dealership thing that can stop your car from turning on if you miss a payment?

That's not the OBD2 port, that is something else that someone added to your car.

Must be some sort of aftermarket alarm system. Is there a large plastic horn in the engine bay someplace? that's the tell tail sign of an aftermarket alarm system.

Could be a separate panel that connects to it to change settings? who knows. I would trace those wires and see where they all go. Only way to tell unless you know who owned the car before hand.

i looked but i couldnt find anything on it...

the best thing to do is to trace the wire bundle and see where it leads you.

Like everyone said before, just trace the wires back and see where they lead. That's the only way to find out.

I don't think Ford has them, one of my friends swear he has one on his car but I'm not too sure..

That pic the OP posted looks similar to an anti-theft thing the dealer had on my stang when I bought it. The one on mine was a transceiver that would lock the starter until the dealership used their RF fob to unlock it. Dealer told me not to turn the car off on the test drive because the lock would reset. They disabled it when I bought the car but it's still on the paneling near my right knee..

My obd2 port is near my left knee, in case you were wondering

I believe that is a plug that connects to an anti-start system for someone who has been convicted of drunk driving. It connects to a breathilizer tube and you have to blow in it for the car to start.
Once your time is up they normally just unplug and leave everything hard wired.
