Default BBK shorty headers?

http://www.americanmuscle.com/bbk-sh...96-2004gt.html

I found these suckers on craigslist, and can buy them for 175 brand new. My question is: will they fit? I have an SLP loudmouth 1 cat back, but no mid pipe. Im guessing after the cat back is the catalytic converter, then some more pipe and then the headers? Since these headers are shorter than usual, will they make the reach to attach to the pipes after my catalytic converter? If someone can clear up the whole exhaust sequence for me, i would greatly appreciate it. Also, how much louder will this make my car? I like the sound i get with slp lm1, and it is pretty damn loud. Would these headers make my car louder? Is it even worth buying if i dont have a midpipe? Thanks all.

Don't bother. The amount of time spent installing them (or the cash) is so high that only long tubes are worth it.

Dont bother with shorty headers, you wont see any gains worthwhile. Get Long tubes.

But if you insist, the shorty headers you are looking at are the same size as your stock manifolds so they will work with your stock midpipe.

Heres a little more on exhaust if you need to understand it.

I would say dont do it. I have ford racing shorty headers installed on mine. Everyone told me don't do it don't do it. I said well I gotta try it for myself so I did it was A PITA to install had to raise motor take out starter and steering shaft not to mention unbolting those dam things. Putting them didn't get any easier. I did not notice any hp gain at all. I didn't feel a thing after the install the exhaust sound didn't sound diff at all. MY opinion NOT WORTH it as I did it and felt nothing at all diff.
