Default Is this possible?

I am trying to find out if I can order a set of 1 chamber flowmaster mufflers and just weld them into my SLP catback. I like my SLP catback, but I REALLY miss my old setup of 2 chamber flowmasters and o/r H pipe.

Also has anyone seen a 1 chamber catback? I have seen the Flowmaster catback with the 2 chamber, but I would like to try out the 1 chamber because I want it to be loud as hell.

If all else fails I can count my loses and buy the American Thunder catback and sell my SLP also.

of course you can weld them in place of the slps. but when you go to sell the slp catback as a whole which i assume you are gonna do if you dont like it then its not gonna ssell for much with the resonators taken out then put back in. also why didnt you just buy the 1 chambers for your stokc pipes and call it a day? would have been cheaper lol.

The reason I didn't go with the single chambers to begin with is because I wanted a different sound. But then I really started to miss how loud and mean sounding my old exhaust was.

If I just weld in some single chambers but keep all the old pipes it wouldn't really make and difference to the sound right? So I would keep everything like it is, but have the flowmaster mufflers.

I really wish they made a single chamber catback, but I haven't found one.

Also, wanted to find out if anyone has heard of a H pipe like the SLP catted X. Where you can switch from no cats, or cats pretty easily.

Don't do it, SLP resonators have a better flow design than 1 chamber flows and you might loose some HP!

Just spend the money on an SLP X pipe. It will be loud as crap, and prolly cheaper and less hassle than switching back to a flowmaster set up. If you do that, you have to buy a new flowmaster cat back, then buy the 1 chamber mufflers, then sell the SLP one. Just buy a new X pipe. Good luck, I know what you mean about the flows, you just cant beat em for sound imo.

My plan was to go with the SLP X pipe, but I don't think it will give me the sound I am looking for. I want a deep rumble sound that the flowmasters and o/r H gave me. I have heard a video of the o/r X and SLP catback and it sounded loud, but more of a raspy sound.

Also, does anyone know if single chamber flowmasters are street legal? If so I can run them with cats and get the sound I want.

One of my main questions, is...will taking out the resanators and putting in single chamber's efffect the sound any? I mean the rest of the setup wouldnt matter right? I wouldn't think so, but wanted to find out for sure.

One chamber Flowmasters are not legal, that's why they don't sell them in a cat-back system. And yes they are wicked loud. I have a few friends that have them on their Mustangs.

So if I keep my cats, but have the one chamber Flowmasters, then I still wouldn't pass the sniff test?

You might. I think their illegal on the street because of the noise.
They're very loud, especially at WOT.

I was thinking of put them on as well. I have the magnaflow magnapack with bassani x pipe. I like loud. Since my exhaust system is all clamps i could just try them dumper and see how i like them!

I went to the muffler shop yesterday. The guy told me that I couldn't put the one chambers on my car because of the position of the inlet and outlet on the muffler. He said to fit on my car they would have to be offset on both sides, and Flowmaster doesn't make a one chamber that is offset on both sides.

So I wonder how many Mustang owners have got one chambers and how the fit?

You might be able to do dumps. EVEN LOUDER. But you lose the tips though.
