Default Wrong Water pump Pulley for 02? Help Please!!

I have an 02 Mustang GT. For some reason I have a water pump pulley where face is bowed outward (early style). The order from American Muscle came with the face depressed inward. The information on AM says that in 1996 to mid-2001 (early style) pulley were used. Could it be a mis-print and instead of 2001 it should've been 2002? I called AM and were very nice about it. I explained my problem and sent me a replacement. I got the same part for an 02. Totally Confused. Sorry for the big pictures
This is the one in my 02 GT

This is the one AM sent me twice for an 02

This is the one AM says is for 96 to Mid 01 (looks like mine)

This is the one AM says should be in my car

I've only heard of 2 other 2002 Mustangs that had the older long style water pump. Mine is the short one.

Ford likes to do changes very randomly. Like even if they officially switch to a different style part after a certain date, if they still have a stock pile of the old stuff, they still keep throwing them in.

2001 up could have been built wth 2 different water pumps, 1 a short shaft pump (65mm long) or a long shaft water pump (87mm long) so it's really a crap-shoot....

I wouldn't say it is a mis print. There a small number of 02's that have the long shaft water pump (my 02 also has one). It would be nice though if they would change it to 1996 to mid-2001, some 2002 or at least note it some where.

Just make sure if you ever replace the water pump that you get a long shaft pump. It would suck to put the new water pump in to find out the pulley wont go on.

Thanks a mil guys, I called AM and hopefully I'll get the right one. Unfortunately I have to pay for one return. I should receive UPS sticker for the other.

Finally I got the right parts.
Hey Bossman, I'll keep that in mind and make sure I get the long shaft water pump. Thanks for the dimensions Randy. Hey Spike, does this mean I got a rare Mustang? ha ha.
Just wondering how much HP it's really gonna free up. You know Ads, they always lie so you can buy. I got Steeda cause everyone I know says it's the best. I'm doing 297hp at the crank. I'd be happy if I get 305. A little over the new stock GT.
Thanks again guys, You guys are the best.
