beef up axles

Default beef up axles

I am going to need to get a 31spine axle on my mustang. Not to big into this. Any one seen cheap prices and what all is involved in it. Will i need a differ diferential as well. And is install easy enough to do myself.

you need abs adapters if you want to keep them. you need a new differential too. i use moser 31 splines with an auburn pro differential with 3.73 and a frpp girdle.

Ill be using moser 31 splines with the ford 31 slpine t-lock.

Get some good axles like Moser, Strange, or Superior. You will also need a 31 spline diff. The ford truck diff is a popular choice. I would go ahead and put some gears in the car if you haven't already.

I notice you are in Virginia Beach, check out Steen Racing, they do some nice work and are very close to you.

strange is a pretty good brand also.. i ordered a catalog from them and it was here in like 2 days max!

im also in the rear end market, are the posi and t-lok the same thing? and is that what has your spider gears in it? (im such a noobie )

T-loc is fords name for there posi.

The spider gears are in teh carrier also known as your differental.

so if you replaced the axles to 31 spline you'd also have to replace the diff. because of the difference in spline?
