for Non-Pi heads, dollar-wise it's the PI intake swap or if you have the funds the SVO intake which is $$$$...... on cars wth PI heads, I say the Bullitt intake...as it has plenty of metal to move around for better air flow, problem is cost....I've not seen any real power #'s come from any of the "newley" released aftermarket SOHC intakes.....

unless you do something to enhance the 4.6's breathing via cams, P&P heads and exhaust, a new intake isn't going to help anything in particular.

CAI's are even more useless for gaining power. If you're talking about a CAI then I'd go to a K&N FIPK and call it a day. They've always made good stuff and it looks pretty good.

I was refering to a CAI, I didn't think about upper intakes. But since CAIs are all pretty much the same, the best bang for the buck would be a cheap one. And r3d is right about the upper intake not helping unless you have something like ported heads. Read about upper intake results in MM&FF not long ago.
