03/04 Cobra motor and the six speed that mates to it. just an idea, dunno what all you'd need to do the swap, but its been done before.

there's an 04 cobra engine for sale by my house for 6100... shipping would be about 300.

So the heads are in need of replacement and you want to replace the whole motor, why not just get ported heads instead of all that crap?

Since its just the heads that are messed up, can they just be replaced? What happened to my RH is that the #3 plug blew out and they had to install a Helicoil..but I am not comfortable with the motor any more. But if you are telling that if I can just replace the heads. I am all for that..By the way, I have a 99Gt with a Windsor motor not the Romeo. I would like to keep my motor, there is nothing else wrrong with it but like I said I am ope to suggestions

You can pick up replacement heads for 300 bucks, add another 150 for head studs and another 100 for head gaskets (there's gunna be more cost in gaskets but not too bad). Bolt up and drive away.

Or, you can upgrade with a set of fox lake or TEA ported heads and a nice cam (stay mild... stage 2 is fine) set. Generally expect to pay about 1500 for the ported heads and 5-600 for the cam. Performance increases can be substantial.

I like this plana lot better and its a lot cheaper, leaves me more money for more power adders..Who should I order or get my heads from.

Check the modular parts section on www.corral.net. THere's always a few guys selling a full PI kit there.

Get your gaskets from Randy Stinchcomb (parts section here) and I'd suggest investing in ARP head studs since you've had to pull them once you may end up doing it again... Ford OEM head bolts are TTY and can only be used once, then they must be discarded.

any heads older then 02 (or so) will have the potential to blow out spark plugs. I picked up a timesert kit when mine did it and have since rethreaded all of the spark plug holes while I had the heads off of the engine.

if you get a newer set of heads then they will have more threads for the spark plugs. the important thing though is to properly torque the plugs using the correct anti-seize compound.
