Post SOHC to DOHC Help

I needed a motor for my 99 Gt. This guy wants to sell me a DOHC motor with the wiring harness... Would the switch to the DOHC require any other necessary work to my car..How much of a swap and hassle would it be..I need to know as much information as necessary. Any codes that would need to be installed on compter, would it require a different exhaust manifold than SOHC.

I have done it and its not worth it unless you have a donor car plus in the end you are left with a stock 4v. You are better off buying a built 2v motor.

there was a thread about this recently which had all the details laid out in order. You should probably try the search feature. Try searching for "2v to 4v".

I'm with Venom. I did it too and wish that I just went with a built 2v for cost reasons.
