Differnce between Windsor heads and Romeo
How do you visually tell the differnce between a set of windsor heads and romeo. I have a 99gt and this guy is selling a set of heads for a good price. He said it came out of a crown vic.....and that they would fit..Can anyone give me any info before I purchased these heads. What should I look for ie numbers, lettering etc. and would heads from a crown vic work........

count the # of bolts on the cam covers, Romeo is 11 and Windsor is 13/14
also the Romeo's have 2 main girdles that hold the cam to the head and Windsor have 5 individual main caps holding the cam into the heads....also Romeo's use a bolt on cam gear and Windsors have a "pressed-on" gear...if they are PI Crown Vics, there Romeos and will fit "if" you get the right cam covers and the smaller 8mm bolts and studs for the front chain cover to head......if they are a Non PI Crown Vic heads, then they could be Romeo or Windsor, depending on the year.....
