They do. Just screw the old one off and screw the new one on.

Not quite as good. Good stations are the same, though, as before. I use XM 99% of the time.

I like the 8" antenna much better than the stock piece. It gives the car a sleeker look. I haven't really noticed reduced reception with the smaller antenna.

That can chip too, but I'm pretty sure he was talking about the paint on the antenna.

I've been wanting to install one... but was afraid my reception would go to the dogs.

I hate the stock antenna's look. It is too big. I want to make sure the reception stays good though. Is the 8" bendable? I like to use a car cover, and not have to cut a hole in it.

I got mine a couple days ago. I love the look over the factory radio tower. And yes it does just screw in.

The 8 inch is Deffinately not bendable.... It's designed to you don't have to keep taking ur anntena off and on to put a car cover over the car...

It's a pita take to the car wash... (Although personally I wash it myself..)

Just my 2 cents

yeah i have one too. I hated the 29 inch one so I got a smaller one. It looks like an automatic one that didn't go down all the way but I still think it looks better than the stock one.

It will work with a car cover. When I use my car cover, I have a hole big enough for the stock antenna. With the 8" you would not need to cut a hole in the car cover.

I probably shouldn't post this here but the first thing I did to my GT (before any shorties were available) was to remove the antenna and make a stubby that car cover would go over. Just put a 2" stainless screw in, slide a piece of 3/8" fuel line over it, then add a black vacuum cap. I think the thread was 10-32 but not sure. I can still pick up a couple of strong stations 50 miles from home. No close up pics of it but it looks just like a store bought stubby antenna.

so this antena is very fragile it seems. As I would be using my car cover frequently, this makes me nervous. i wonder how the Bullit would work.
