Any experience with the 99-04 CDC Mach1 Shaker?
Im thinking of picking one up.
and before anyone decides to say "Why?, they add no performance" well, i know that jerkface, and neither did the $900 set of rims you put on, so stuff it.
It boils down to the fact i think the shaker setup is the ballinest **** evar! And i want one, so im thinking of getting one.
So, that being said, has anyone ever installed one? Does anyone know if tghe CDC's shaker setup is any good? How does this work with the current intake? does this mean i will need to get rid of the K&N FPIK?
thanks!

Why would you want to do that? You know they don't add any performance.haha
But seriously, I've read about some people getting them and love it. I think it looks bad *** even if it doesn't add any power. I believe most people get the CDC one. I haven't heard of any problems.

Lmao....
yah im probably gonna vbe getting in a couple weeks if i get one. Im half tempted to get a boost gauge and run it down the highway and settle for once and all the debate if they offer any performance increase.

Yah, ive been wanting to do something to give it more of an aggressive look. Was thinking of a cobra hood, but after buying the hood and paying shipping plus paint, i figured the CDC shaker would be a bit cheaper, raise the hood level a bit, and seriously, who doesnt agree that the shaker setup is sweet? I would rather get a real mach1 hood, but then there goes price again.
Also, i dont know anyone who has one. As far as i know i would be one of the only people on MB with that setup.
Plus ive been pulling off my stripes. The vinyl god old and crappy, and there is a bit of fade but not much. The hood is the most noticeable part, and the CDC hood applique thing covers that whole area.

If your car is a GT with a 2V motor, do the KarKraft system,
then all you need is the Mach 1 hood.

Man I would love to take it if I didn't still owe on the GT. Oh by the way jjgiants, were you wearing a USC shirt yesterday at the gym?

Yeah, I still owe quite a bit myself and that's going to be the trouble of getting rid of it. Yeah, I was wearing a USC shirt....I saw your car in the parking lot, but couldn't put the face with the car once inside the gym. ha ha. Haven't seen your car there in a while...slacking off? ha ha

I like the mach 1 hood too. Who cares if it adds hp. lol.. I remember I guess it was in 03 or 04 there were dealers in the St. Louis area that were selling the real Mach 1's but they were also selling a Mach 2. If I remember right they were basically a stock GT that was sent out somewhere to have a shaker hood and stripes put on. Does anybody else remember or have one of these cars? I remember seeing quite a few of these Mach 2 cars at Sunset Ford in South St Louis County.

Yep me too. I really cant decide on whether to get a 03-04 cobra hood or a 2000 Cobra r hood. Im not sure if a 03-04 cobra hood would even fit a 2000-2004 GT.
