which sport is harder..

this one kid at my school thinks football is alot ruffer of a sport and a harder sport than hockey... i just wnated to know what yall though

because i have played ice hockey for about 6 years, and am not the biggest guy.. actually only wiegh 135ish.. soo i'm pretty small and this football kid things just because he plays football he is all tough and ****.. and i'm like i can fight, but i don't and i can take alot of pain becuase of hockey.. and then he said football is harder and other things it made me soo mad, because i have played both, and i like hockey better because its harder, and more fun!!

having played both sports at a competitive level I have to say hockey is harder. it goes beyond toughness, but the overall conditioning needed is far greater. any fat **** can be a lineman, but try putting that guy on 1/8'' thick steel blades and tell him to keep up with the play, all the while keeping your head up as you play the puck so you don get rocked. most hockey players are trim and cut, you cant say the same for football players. and as far as hitting goes, most players run around 10mph in football game maybe a little more when they go for a hit. a hockey player can travel 25mph or more and smoke a guy into solid boards....which can hurt more....got physics?

hockey is harder
its more tiring(you dont get 30 seconds between plays), more difficult to play(you cant just rely on being athletic, any athlete can play football, every athlete cant skate)....in hockey fighting is basically encouraged....getting hit into ice hurts more than dirt, grass, or turf
ive played both, Im better at hockey cause I can skate but I find football more fun
