when i try to start my car it will start turning over and then it will stop and make a popping noise. i think the popping im hearing is just a noise going through my exhaust pipes but im not sure. kinda sounds like a backfire or something. i dont know. its been doing this on and off for a few days now. and the other day i was stopped at a stoplight and i started to go. when i first pushed on the gas it kinda stalled out for a second and then it went and ran normally. its only done that once though. if anyone can maybe help me figure out what is wrong i would really appreciate it. my car is an automatic and i have a tune that came with the tuner i bought from AM.

 

did it start happening right after you uploaded the new tune?

 

no i've had the tune in there for about a year. it has run perfectly fine until a couple days ago. and i forgot to mention it doesnt do this everytime i start the car. only maybe 1 out of every 3 or 4 times i try to start it. do u guys think i got some bad gas or maybe an injector is bad?

Ever change your plugs?

 

i've never changed any plugs in my car. my other mods are xpipe, catback, gears, CAI, and throttle body. i dont think any of those would have to do with the problem though. my dad is convinced the problem is electrical, like something with the starter. but i dont think so because of the time it stalled out on me. i dunno though im stumped.
