Worth the price?

I currently am in the process of buying a 96-04 Cobra and Ive found one but the engines needs a complete rebuild. How much does that generally cost? the cobra is a 96.

He is asking 4000 but I can get him to go lower

sounds like a deal if everything else is good in the car. build the motor how you want it, or build it stock...
