i think with stage 2 cams its recommened that you get a tune. i dont think the computer can compensate for that big of a change or if it even has the potential to compensate for that cam. i would say deff get a tune you will see better gains and better driveability

Your idle wont really improve. I wouldnt get on it too much without it being tuned. Ive got VT stage 2 cams also.

I had to wait a week for mine tune, and it won't get better. Mine died everytime I stopped pretty much. It was way too rich at idle. But that'll be fixed on the dyno also. I would'nt recommend getting on it, since you really don't know what you a/f ratio looks like. Not worth blowing something up.

thanks alot...pretty much what i thought...i drove it about 50 miles today and it did get much better...doesn't stall unless i stop really hard and fast...i was supposed to get a tune but when doing the cams my buddy was compressing the valve springs and on the passenger side 2nd to last spring the tool slipped off and pushed the valve into the cylinder...must have broken the air seal...anyways i had to pull the head...so part of my tuning money went for new gaskets and head bolts, etc...anyways it was my first time doing a head gasket in a 4.6...wasn't too bad except trying to bolt the header back up...they were a pita to put in the first time...oh well seems to be running fine...after tune in a few weeks i will post up my #'s both na and n20
