just bout an H pipe
Whats up fellas, new to the forums, but want to jump into getting my car fixed up, my names matt. whats up.
I just bout a 99 GT Auto. Yeah, I know, it wont be that way forever. Anyways, I plan on making this my kit car, and have been doing everything myself even though I am fairly new to car mechanics in general, I wouldn't call myself "new", but "learning". (with that said I have installed my 99's magnaflow cat-back system, my room mates 06' civic si headers, intake, as well as all my "general" maintenance work on all our cars) Anyways, here is what I know.
The h-pipe will contain no cats, so there will be no use for O2 sensors (since they will always read bad, obviously). My question is this: I bought the MAC H-pipe (for the standard headers), and it doesnt seem that there is going to be a place on the pipe to install the factory O2 sensors. What should I do with them since/if there is no where to put them? Do you just cut them off, or find a place for them?
And on that note, what should I do about the check engine light thats going to come on because of the missing cats? I don't want to go "tape over the light" way because I want to know if there are "other" problems. Is that a sensor eliminator of some sort? Can you make one? Thanks guys.

Also your h-pipe will come with the spots to mount the o2 sensors screw them in then use the mil's and you will be good to go. Also a tune can get rid of the light if you just want to wait till you get a tune on your car.

make your own MIL eliminators, you can buy all the parts at radio shack and it cost like 5 bucks to make two. heres how-http://zx2racing.com/pages/articles/mileliminators.htm
Autos are great for drag racing, youll learn that as you become more educated.
With the o/r pipe there will be no use for the REAR 02's, front ones need to stay in as they are for a/f. There will be 4 holes in the midpipe to install the 4 02's, two front two rear.
Youll screw all 4 in, then install the MIL's in the rear 02's, not the front ones.
