Question emergency!!! i think my tps went out but...

i dont have a multi meter to check for voltage and i can get my car started but once i let off the gas pedal the car dies. so i hooked up the predator and i did a live data log and there was something on there that read 0v mmftp. im assuming thats my tps and if it is then 0 volts is bad, hence why my car wont idle, maybe? people help with some info. i dont have much time left here in the states i leave monday

sounds like your IAC (idle air ocntrol) valve. they get clogged with ****. its a round long cyclender thing on the front side of the plenum. take it off and spray the **** out of it with brake clean etc.. and move the valve around insid eot et it to unstick. if that doesnt fix it then the tps might be bad.but a bad tps wont make the car die. it would idle weird as hell like jumping upa nd down or just idle very high but not stall or make the car die.

It's your IAC. When the TPS has no voltage, the car will idle at 3,000 rpms.

if it is the IAC its going to be about $100 for the part and it can be swapped in place of the old one in a few minutes pretty easily.
