Not a fan of direct port.

why not? The lines are kinda long I'll admit but I'm going to shorten those and move things around a bit to support the lines all being the same length.

I've already got a 2nd system that I'm going to turn into a purge kit. I'm just stoked wtih the price. Score!

Is that for the 4.6 or for the up coming 5.4? Has anyone ever seen a direct port on a stock manifold? I wouldn't think that would be a good recipe?

What he's most liking going to do is use his hardballer intake and put it on that.

it's for the 5.4. I'm not doing anything to my 4.6 till the 5.4 is ready. Then I'm going to add 10 degrees of timing advance and run the 4.6 as high as it'll go till it BLOWS. May even use a little cheater shot on nitrous for that party.

It will be going on my Hardball'R intake along with a completely separate system I've been working on for the intake itself (hidden system that goes in the bottom cover) that I'll use for more mundane stuff like passing on the freeway. The NOSzle will be a 150 shot and the other will be a 75 shot.

thats a nice kit. that style is the safest you can run. Its better cause you can run bigger shots. make sure its tuned and it should make sick power.

oh yea and that kit is pretty much universal and will fit anything with the same style injectors. Lotsa people like to put them on the 03/04 cobras

I just got home to find my newest set of heads. Man they've been HOGGED out hard core. You can see the back of the valve face from the port opening.

I finally have all the parts I need to get all the pre-assembly done on my mockup motor. Heads, intake, nitrous, cams gaskets and bearings... all in one place. I'll probably have the mock motor lashed together next weekend. I'll post pics as soon as I get it all set up.

I would think the direct port setup would be the best as long as shots are kept on the big side. I think if you drop the shot size down there'll be insufficient flow to keep all the lines operating consistently at the same pressure and delivery rate thanks to the considerable length and volume of the lines. At least with the direct port setup I can get away with 30lb injectors and still be able to get enough fuel for 500rwhp on the juice.

It'll definitely get a custom tune just for the nitrous and I won't be building that one myself (though we will use my SCT software kit). I'm gunna have that tune done by a pro. Nitrous is too unforgiving to screw around with the little things. I'm hoping I can just drop 4 degrees of timing across the board from 3k rpm to redline from the tune I'll run daily. That way I can use the 75 day to day and then just hit the timing with my Xcal2 for drag day.
